  • Senior Software Engineer

    Our engineers are involved in all parts of the product lifecycle; ideation, design, prototyping, planning, execution, and execution.

    • We’re looking for someone who
    • Is a strong coder, preferably who speaks our languages, but can write clean, effective code.
    • Has experience working and/or managing a team of developers towards launching a product or introducing serious new features to an existing solution.
    • Is passionate about product craftsmanship and cares about great design, not only their visual presentation, but in their technical architecture as well.
    • Wants to manage a team of developers and deliver products that are changing how people interact with an endless wave of new, high value data.
    The stack

    Ruby (sometimes on Rails), JavaScript, Python, GO, nodejs, AngularJS, React, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.

  • Data Scientist

    Our data scientists are involved in all parts of the product lifecycle; ideation, design, prototyping, planning, and execution.

    • We're looking for someone who can
    • Apply their expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users interact with our products.
    • Design, build and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines to move data (both large and small amounts) to our Data Warehouse.
    • Use their coding skills across a number of languages such as Ruby, Python, JavaScript, etc.
    • Interact with engineers, product managers and product analysts to understand data needs.
    • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
    • Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions and product launches.
    • Work across multiple teams in high visibility roles and own solutions end-to-end.
    The stack

    Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, Python, nodejs, AngularJS, Grunt, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.

    • Your skills
    • 2+ years experience doing quantitative analysis.
    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics or other technical field or equivalent. Advanced degrees preferred.
    • Experience in SQL or other query languages.
    • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance.
    • Ability to communicate the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner with product and leadership teams to influence the overall strategy of the product.
    • Basic understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, regressions). Experience working with Stat packages such as R, MATLAB, SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc. is a plus.
    • Experience visualizing data with tools such as Tableau, D3, etc.
    • Ability to analyze data to identify deliverables, gaps and inconsistencies.
    • Excellent communication skills including the ability to identify and communicate data driven insights.
